Editer:BUILD&TEST TECHNOLOGY     Date:2017-03-27     From:     Hits:2154

The 8th edition of ASPHALTICA, where IPC Global® - CONTROLS Group took part with its own stand, has now come to a close.

1

Throughout the event, the three expositions – TRANSPOTEC LOGITEC, SAMOTER and ASPHALTICA running concurrently – saw a record turnout of more than 84,000 visitors from 86 Countries. These figures confirmed this exhibition as a benchmark event and unmissable occasion for the entire chain of infrastructure and transport, logistics and machinery for road building, with 780 exhibiting companies from 25 countries.

2

There were a great deal of Italian and international customers and visitors at the stand, who came to this international event and were able to browse and explore our many major new features.

First of all, the presentation of the IPC Global® - CONTROLS Group New Division for the design, manufacture and marketing of advanced testing equipment for bitumen and hot mix asphalt.

4

IPC Global® - CONTROLS Group in this sector gave rise to EmS Tech technology: Electromechanical Servoactuation system, developed to support the most attentive users and to meet the growing needs in terms of testing accuracy, combined with increasingly simple and accessible machinery.

Visitors showed great interest in the brand new AsphaltQube and DynaQube together with AMPT Pro, which will expand the already wide range of advanced dynamic testing systems for pavements.

5

Of course, technology as high-performing and versatile as EmS Tech – a true breakthrough of innovation – also affected other important equipment, including future-generation gyratory compactors, which have already been widely present in IPC Global® - CONTROLS Group's range.

The new range of GALILEO gyratory compactors – including the Research version which is the only solution in the world to be equipped with a revolving angle servo-actuated in real time – proved to be the undisputed "queen of the stand", attracting a great deal of interest and admiration from all visitors.

6

Equally important is the new range of advanced testing equipment for bituminous binders such as the Pressure Ageing Vessel (PAV) for measuring bitumen ageing, the Vacuum Degassing Oven (VDO), the fully automatic penetrometer (PIVOT) and the Rolling Thin Film Oven (RTFO).

There are so many new features: from the presentation of the new IPC Global® - CONTROLS Group New Division, through to the various technologies and equipment shown at the stand – all condensed into the new dedicated Catalogue entitled "Advanced Pavements Testing Systems", which can be downloaded from the catalogues section of our website www.controls-group.com, as well as from the new IPC Global® - CONTROLS Group mini website.

Lastly, the Conference we organised as part of the SITEB Workshop, with the interesting speech entitled "Performance-based Asphalt Testing – The Past, Present and Future" by Prof. J. Murali Krishnan from the Department of Civil Engineering of IIT Madras (India), also attracted great interest from the specialised press.

We'd like to thank all our customers for visiting us, especially our international customers including a delegation from Russia led by our distributor. Our Russian customers took advantage of the live training on the new machinery on display, as well as the theoretical presentation by Andrea Carlessi and Kieran McGrane.

We'd also like to thank our customers from Macedonia and our local distributor as well as the many other dealers and customers from Europe and beyond.
